Josh Prashad. Freelance Photographer
Drawing from his past career in commercial silkscreen printing, he shortly after found himself working with photographic film due to its hands-on and process-driven nature, now leading him to a life through the lens.

He is passionate about community and craftsmanship, and aims to convey vibrancy and warmth while storytelling through portraits, moments, and slices of life.

In recent years he has self-produced two small photobook offerings, as well as designed Sadiq Awosanmi’s debut photobook published through fromwaves titled things they left behind. Following the success of his debut solo photo exhibition OUTLET! in May of 2023, Josh is currently working on a photo project he believes will parallel the way he experiences the world titled Fast Break.

Please reach out below if you’d like to work together,

From professional headshots to capturing what’s good in our community, Josh does it all! I’ve had the absolute pleasure of working with Josh on a few different EDI-focused projects and he’s become our go-to for anything photography! He has always brought forward a balance of warmth, professionalism and a…realness that brings out the best in his subjects and equates to a finished product that’s warm, fresh and exactly what you’ll want to share with the world!
